Have youself a "Very Merry Mazel!"

December can be a tricky month when planning a Bar or Bat Mitzvah, as many venues have holiday decor that you may need to work around.

In this case we took a "why fight it" approach and planned a "Very Merry Mazel" for this special Bat Mitzvah girl!

Mini lemon cypress trees were used in place of florals to accent the room.  Color changing LED lights, snowflake confetti and pink and green color themed candy sticks added to the holiday cheer!

The room glowed with excitement.  Entering the special tented area brought the outdoors in and guests felt as if they had happened upon their very own Aurora Borealis!

I want my "Lily Pop"!  Colored straws added to the fun at the kids only "soda bar".

The night was capped off by a yummy custom designed hot cocoa station. Guest could choose from dark or milk chocolate hot cocoa and pick their own toppings.

Don't forget your peppermint spoon and over-sized cookie for dipping. YUM!

Happy Hollidays!  And may all your "Mazel's be Merry"!

Club "IAN"/Glow Mitzvah

As my son kicked off the B'nai Mitzvah season for his class of 2014, (he would be one of 40 something Bar and Bat Mitzvahs for his class)  we knew we wanted to start off with our own special Flair!   A regular "club" party would not be enough, for my son's special day,   so we made it Glow.

The Bar Mitzvah boy, poised to receive his VIP Guests with Red Carpet treatment.

As Guest entered they were given their "VIP Passes", welcoming them to the private club party.

 The club glowed with excitement!

A traditional sign in board  seemed "ho, hum" so we create a "glow graffiti wall" where guest could leave a message for the Bar Mitzvah boy.  There was not an inch left uncovered by the end of the night

Guests enjoyed a menu of "club" inspired food, from gourmet sliders to macaroni and cheese balls,  Kids enjoyed fun "mocktails" and we topped off the night with a chocolate covered pop  buffet....

Did you say chocolate covered oreos?! Yes Please!

A good time was had by all! Especially my favorite Bar Miztvah boy (or should I say man!?)

East Meets West

It was important to the family of this Bat Mitzvah girl to make sure that while they celebrated the Jewish roots of her mother's family, that they did not forget to honor and celebrate her Japanese/Korean heritage on her father's side.

Invitations were custom designed by Flair.  We added a modern monogram to a floral wrapper which was inspired by a Japanese obi.

We continued the Asian theme with a Japanese "wishing tree". As the guests entered they were encouraged to add a wish for the Bat Mitzvah girl on her special day.

We created customized "Firefly" jars that glowed through-out the club;  a symbol of the Bat Mitvah girls middle name "Keiko", which means firefly in Japanese.

The monogram from the invitations was carried forward to the party and used on these fun "candy" take out boxes.

The cool club vibe resulted in an electric atmosphere and the good mood was contagious!

Everything was glowing including the Bat Mitzvah girl!
